Update on Youth Kairos @ Penang

Well, if you have been waiting eagerly for the Youth Kairos registration form, the wait is over! The registration is done online. Just click here to register. Youth Kairos Going North!

Yes! Youth Kairos is going to Penang this December. Block you calendar, invite your friends, inform your parents. There will be a Youth Kairos from 12-18 December 2010 at the YWAM base in Penang. We will publish the registration form here as soon as it’s ready.

Kairos @ KL Wesley – testimony

Kairos @ KL Wesley was concluded on 20th June. One of the participants, Jocelyn Wan, has this to say:

Kairos course has brought me valuable understanding of

what is God’s purpose and plan. God two fold program

are to reconquer his usurped Kingdom, to reestablish

his rightful reign over all creation, to reconcile and redeem

his people. His unconditional sacrificial love is to save the

lost and for none to perish.

I have enjoyed myself through the activities held in Kairos

such as video sessions, devotion time, discussion group,

prayer blocs, time of fellowship and etc. Time of sharing

and learning from one another are very enriching and

fulfilling.

It makes me aware of mission should be the focus and

center of my life as I live my christian life. I learn that

there are other ways we can support & contribute towards mission such as uphold them in prayer, finances, to receive updates of their mission works by writing letter and share our concern to those on the field. (E.g. Paul & Philippian Church)

The great imbalance of the reach and unreached groups are very huge and they are growing very rapidly. I realise the urgency to reach out to them and learn not to have any prejudice against any races or tribes but to respect their culture and to adapt to cross culture differences.

I humbly and willingly ask God to remove any contradictions in my life that hinder me from involving in the great commission. It was indeed a rewarding time of learning together to fulfill what God has call us to. As the bible says in Mark 16 : 15…

… “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation” …

Youth – “A generation that is completely sold out to the purpose of God!”

School holiday is over and so does our first ever Youth Kairos in West Malaysia. It was successfully conducted in PDMC from 13 – 18 June 2010. We had 13 participants coming from Alor Setar, Ipoh, Klang Valley, Kluang and Muar. Upon completion of the course, when asked how they want their generation to be described, one of the participants shared this with us:

“A generation that is completely sold out to the purposes of God. They forsook comfort, choosing to conquer the last strongholds. This generation established a standard of holiness and righteousness that has never before seen in the history of mankind, impacting nations and transforming societies. They fought and prevailed against injustice while choosing to love unconditionally. They were united and were supportive for one another, willingly laying down their lives for things greater than themselves. They threw away their temporal desire and fought the final battle that brought the end of all ages. This is a generation that advanced the kingdom on their knees and were determined to see God’s kingdom come no matter what it takes. It is the greatest generation that has ever walked the face of the earth throughout history” – Cang Ling
